Medicines Optimisation Project Manager
Salary: £30,000 to £40,000, dependent upon experience
Contract type: 6 month fixed term contract or secondment
Hours/Shift pattern: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week, working pattern to be discussed

The South West Academic Health Science Network (SW AHSN) is one of 15 Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) organisations in England. Our purpose is to work with health and social organisation in testing, developing and spreading innovative practice and knowledge across the region.
Our team is working towards successfully delivering a number of portfolios that focus on national, regional and local projects. This involves extensive engagement with stakeholders and strong advocacy for the innovations that will benefit the population of the South West of England.
This post will support the work of the SW AHSN by managing a group of projects that work across the whole footprint of the patch. This post will be focused on the work of National Patient Safety Collaborative and will be supporting the Medicines Safety work stream. The role will support pharmacists, health care professionals, care workers in the community and in care home to improve the safety around medication and ensure we are making the best use of our resources.
You will be an enthusiastic supporter of Quality Improvement, with a track record of delivering QI projects in health or social care. Whilst no clinical background is required for this job, experience of working with professionals is desirable.
The post may develop in its scope over time, as you grow into the role. You will join a committed, energetic team, committed to making care better for patients in the South West.

You will have an aptitude for decision-making and problem solving with knowledge and experience in project management frameworks such as PRINCE2 or Agile, and LEAN, Six Sigma or the Model for Improvement. Experience of working towards targets and juggling multiple priorities is needed.
