Evaluation Lead – Design and Measurement
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000, dependent upon experience
Contract type: Fixed term, maternity cover for 12 months
Hours/Shift pattern: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We welcome applications for job share/part time working.

The South West Academic Health Science Network (SW AHSN) is one of 15 Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) organisations in England. Our purpose is to work with health and social organisation in testing, developing and spreading innovative practice and knowledge across the region.
Our team is working towards successfully delivering a number of portfolios that focus on national, regional and local projects. This involves extensive engagement with stakeholders and strong advocacy for the innovations that will benefit the population of the South West of England.
In a sector where ensuring efficacy and efficiency of new ways of working are important to ensure public funds are used in the best possible way, evaluation is an essential part of project management. The SW AHSN support the region through to spread evidence-based initiatives and we plan to learn as much as we can about our programmes along the way.
Working as part of a small team, you will manage a number of evaluation projects across the SW AHSN by leading on the design of evaluation plans and specifications, facilitating the development of logic models, and managing and supporting colleagues to delivery evaluations.
As an Evaluation Lead, you will have had the experience to develop excellent qualitative and quantitative research skills, with the ability and experience to deliver evaluation in practice. As part of a small team in a dynamic and changing environment, you will also need to be comfortable working independently.
Stakeholder relationship are an important part of this role and you will be working with them closely when developing logic models and theories of change. Excellent project management skills will be required as well as using your experience and understanding of evaluation methodology. You will be able to use your analytical skills to enable sound decision making.
A Science-based degree or equivalent is desired and a willingness to travel regionally and nationally.
