Industry: Funding & finance

Developing innovative products and services in the health and care system often requires upfront funding and finance. Our team build partnerships with funders and investors to help businesses finance innovation and fund partnerships with NHS organisations.

We have established partnerships with a range of funders and investors focused on the health and life science sector, including:

SBRI Healthcare: an NHS England initiative, championed by the Academic Health Science Networks. We work in partnership with the SBRI Healthcare programme to inform the problems the programme seeks to address and build partnerships between cutting edge technology businesses and NHS organisations.

NIA: the NHS Innovation Accelerator provides support to proven innovations to be adopted faster and more systematically through the NHS. We work in partnership with the NIA programme to identify proven innovations that could benefit NHS organisations in our region. See the NIA brochure, showcasing all 37 innovations on the programme. Read the independent NIA Evaluation report, conducted by the Institute of Employment Studies (IES) and York Health Economic Consortium (YHEC), and funded by The Health Foundation here.

South West Interactive Healthcare Programme: a regional fund supporting the development of innovative digital health solutions focused the priorities in our region. We work in partnership with Creative England on the programme to identify cutting edge digital health solutions that could benefit NHS organisations in our region.
