SW AHSN: Patient Safety Launch Pad Programme
September 18 @ 9:00 am - September 19 @ 4:30 pm
South West Academic Health Science Network Announces Patient Safety Launch Pad – a New Patient Safety Personal Development Programme
Following the success of our previous Patient Safety Officer training programmes, the South West Academic Health Science Network (SW AHSN) is delighted to announce a range of exciting new initiatives, including the Patient Safety Launch Pad 2017.
The Patient Safety Launch Pad is a five day programme, spread across 9 months. It is a bespoke version of our successful Accelerated Patient Safety Programme, designed to support delegates in implementing a patient safety and quality improvement plan at ward, unit, hospital or system level. It will be delivered by a team of leading QI experts from across the region and UK.
The SW AHSN is delighted to be able to offer this training to delegates within the South West free of charge, although delegates are expected to provide approximately ½ day a week to support a work based improvement within their organisation. .
The programme offers the following benefits to health and care professionals:
1. The LIFE system – to effectively monitor and manage QI improvement plans
2. The SCORE survey – to measure the safety culture of your team and organization
3. Ongoing mentoring and coaching between your learning sessions
4. Communities of Practice to support improvers
5. Support in spread and adoption and implementation science
You will also receive a certificate confirming your completion of the course, to be presented at an award ceremony on the final day. Please note, you must attend all five training days in order to be eligible for the certification.
We encourage the improvement and associated learning objectives to be selected with the delegate’s line manager so that it supports organisational and STP priorities.
The programme will be delivered in three learning sets- Confirmed dates include;
