Improvement 2018: leading for improvement
06 July 2018 at 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
An event for board members and senior leaders in NHS trusts and foundation trusts, to help you strategically develop, lead and sustain quality improvement cultures in your organisation.
The evidence is clear on the role of NHS boards in leading for improvement.
Many NHS trusts have embarked on strategically developing an improvement culture in their organisations using recognised improvement science methodologies to achieve a range of benefits including:
- better quality outcomes for patients
- better operational performance
- higher staff satisfaction
- efficiency and productivity gains
At Improvement 2018, you’ll hear from provider executives and clinicians who are taking strategic, organisation-wide approaches to embedding a culture of continuous improvement. They will describe how they are engaging staff, inviting patients to join the improvement drive, and keeping quality and safety front and centre.
You’ll discuss what building blocks boards should have in place, and you’ll hear from national leaders about the support available to embed these in your organisation – from measurement for improvement, to creating the right conditions for an improvement culture to flourish, and working with system partners.
This event is being run in partnership with the Improvement Directors Network, made up of senior improvement leads working in NHS provider organisations, drawing on their experience and expertise.
The event is aimed at board members and senior leaders in NHS trusts and foundation trusts, including
- chief executives
- medical directors
- nursing directors
