Adopting innovation to transform outcomes for people with diabetes
May 29 at 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
NHS Innovation Accelerator: commissioner learning workshop and best practice showcase
How can the NHS adopt new innovations to improve outcomes and empower effective self-care for people with diabetes?
Provision of effective treatment and support for people with diabetes in England is one of the major clinical challenges of the 21st century. Helping people to self-care and achieve good diabetes control is essential to reduce the number of people experiencing serious complications such as blindness and amputation, and address pressures facing the NHS across care settings.
This half-day workshop will showcase a number of different real-world examples that demonstrate the transformative potential of simple, cost-effective innovations in improving care for people with diabetes and reducing long-term costs.
