Test & Learn
Our Test and Learn projects seek to gather learning from the spread of innovation on a micro scale. Working with our members on real issues, we test out new ideas, ways of working and products before spreading these more widely across our system.
Examples of our current Test and Learn Projects include:
- Collaborating with other Academic Health Science Networks in the spread and adoption of good practice and levering in support from industry through our Medicines Optimisation in the Prevention of AF Related Stroke Project.
- Improving the safe transfer of care from hospital to home through the Medicine Support Service (our regional referral to pharmacy project) including the provision of a Medicine Support Service Implementation Pack – a free resource available for pharmacy teams within NHS Trusts and Local Pharmaceutical Companies looking to implement their own referral to pharmacy project. The pack aims to save time and duplication.
- Working with academic and industry partners to improve junior doctor prescribing behaviours as part of the ePIFFany Lite project. The Effective Prescribing Insight for the Future (EPIFFany) project uses a blended learning approach to increase prescribing competence, performance and safety behaviours of junior doctors.
